Greetings. Nice to see a dedicated Gaui forum. Just received the basic Gaui 425 kit for my birthday. Well, my birthday isn't until December but my other half said I may as well get building it! Odd I know. I've just put the frame together this afternoon. Went together very nicely. I didn't have any Shoe Goo for sticking the bearings to the bearing blocks so I borrowed a tip I found earlier and used some teflon tape. Works great and I couldn't get the bearings to spin..very grippy. Can't wait to get this beast flying.

Howdy Chipbutty! Nice tip. I haven't heard it, but it sounds like a winner! How many turns? Scott

Hi Scott - Just one turn should do, enough so it meets the other end. I tried turning the bearing quite hard in the block as you see it in the picture and it just gripped like it was glued in there. Mind you that plumber's tape is a devil to work with for this particular task. It has a habit of building up static when you're trying to cut a narrow length and it's thinner than a butterfly's wing. Howdy Chipbutty! Nice tip. I haven't heard it, but it sounds like a winner! How many turns? Scott

Welcome chipbutty, thanks for joining us. Hope you enjoy the site.
I haven't seen that teflon tape idea before. Looks like a good idea, and will probably make it easier to replace a bearing later. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers all. What's the general consensus on the Gaui manual? I have to say that I think it's pretty bad! Very vague and I've had a hell of a time trying to work out what part is what (none of the bags are labelled) and even then the directions in the manual aren't at all clear. Each stage is one of frustration. So it's been slow progress today. I've done a few heli builds including Align and Thunder Tiger helis and those manuals are very clear. Especially the TT manuals which are excellent. Anyway, I'll just take things slowly and the parts do look decent quality and I can tell already that this should fly well. But they really need to work on their manuals. And Gaui please label the bags!

Straight up, I think the Gaui manuals could use some work. Apart from the issues you mention, there's the lack of Head Programming information. Of course, you can glean what you need from an Outrage manual, but that shouldn't be the case. This even affects the X5. In fact, I wrote the US Distributor about head programming being absent and to date I've seen no change even though it was supposedly going to be turned over to team members.
