Good idea Scott. I just found THIS at HobbyKing. Cheap too. I think I am going to try the stock plastic Trex 600 one but with a ziptie underneath ala tail control rod supports. I love the lemon shakeups... I just thought $5 was a bit expensive compared to the very cheap food prices. Cool. I just found the plastic mount was easier to move to adjust the tail servo if I ground a bit from the thicker portion of the plastic, but the zip tie thing should work, too. Also, I'm thinking the Aluminum mount will be a bit heavier so I'll have more wiggle room should I need it to provide balance. What you found is cool. It's like the stock 600 mount but aluminum. Yeah, they were a bit on the expensive side, but I figured it was a necessity. Besides, it was hot today. Scott

Does anybody have a spare lower canopy mount for the plastic frame? Mine did not come with one and the new battery position makes for a floppy canopy. It looks like it comes in the landing gear package.

I should have one around here somewhere if I can find it. I put Hurri 550 skids on my Blackhawk 450 last year and didn't have any need for the lower canopy mount. I will try to see if I can find it later and let you know.

That would be awesome Jerry.
I jury rigged it by bolting a piece of a broken E-Razor 250 main blade to the hole in the front skid. It will suffice for today's test flights!!

I wish I had one. That's the one part I'm worried about losing.

Ivan, I found the lower canopy mount from the skid set that I put on the BH 450. I still have the PM with your address from when I sent you the blade inserts, if your address hasn't changed.
I will drop the canopy mount in the mail Monday.
Scott, I crashed one set of the Hurri skids on the BH 450 last year too and had to replace them. If I can find the other "extra" lower canopy mount I will send it to you. It was not in the little box where I found the other one for Ivan.

You are quite welcome Ivan. That's what we are all here for, to help each other out when we can. Your Gaui 200 advice was a great help to me, so, that's what it is all about, helping out each other.

Ivan, the P.O. was closed Monday, (holiday) but your canopy mount is in the the mail. I couldn't find the little screw to mount it but I am sure you will have something that will work.

I am working on the Gaui 500 once again. I am still trying to get CG sorted out on this thing. I picked up a Trex 600 tail servo mount for the boom and relocated the tail servo. This was not even close to enough weight shift to offset the 3000mAh 6S sitting up front. Last night, I ushered in the new year working on the CF battery mount. I modified it so that it laid much flatter and allowed me to move the battery back quite a bit. It is the tightest fitting battery / canopy I have now. LOL. Anyway, even with the new battery position, I could not find a reasonable place on the tail boom for the servo where CG was even close.
I think the only thing left to do is put some CNC parts on the tail. I looked around today for a CNC tail assembly and can't find a full assembly. The places that I found that have it in one package do not have it in stock. Other places you have to buy three different assemblies which costs a bit more. Not really looking at spending another hundred bux on this heli just to sort out CG.
Is there a reasonably priced unit out there? Anybody got something laying around they want to find a home for? Thanks for any help you can offer.

You're welcome, Ivan.
I think you'll find that tail to be one of, if not the most play-free tails out there. It's just as play-free if not moreso than my Velocity 50's tail.
Pin it, though! It uses only a single bolt clamp. Also, check it for loctite/thrust bearing grease. Both of mine were perfect, but you never know.

Looks nice. Don't forget to 'pin' the case to the boom. I think Scott had a problem with his cnc tail case rotating on the boom and had to pin it.

Exactly, but I'm using insane headspeed. Seriously, it can't hurt to pin it, bro. I just used a cutoff servo screw. Scott
