Congrats on the new Hurri. Are you going to build it as a 425 or stretch it to a 550? Probably want to get a "real" canopy for it someday too, lol. Helidirect has some nice Fusuno canopys for the 550 that are a direct fit on the plastic framed 425 since the frames are the same for both.
I have the exact same kit, but still need cyclic servos to finish the build. I am building mine as a 425 since I already have a 550.
Good luck with the build.

Like Jerry, I had the same kit, too... I stretched mine. It's hardly a Gaui anymore. With the exception of the head assembly, boom and boom holders, it's pretty much something else.

thanks for the link scott, the one i wanted was out of stock, so i got the red one, as far as the tork tube fitting the plastic frame i will just have to wait and see. I didnt think about that. so if it dont fit, a darn then i will just get the fiber fram, or the HH one.
do you have a link for the HH frame or the cost of it.
thanks, fred D.

Sure thing... I paid $175.00 for my frame which included shipping. You can contact "Wazzer" on Helifreak via PM. Additionally, there are extra cost items such as some stock Gaui bearings/blocks, boom mounts, and screws. Please ask Wazzer (Ben) for information about torque tube compatibility. You can also contact "ben@headhunterhelis.com" for more information. There's a website, www.headhunterhelis.com you can check out, as well. I can safely say that if you want a helicopter that will be capable of anything you can throw at it, or like in my case, a helicopter you can grow into, these are the frames to get. They are just so much better than anything else out there for the Gaui 425/550. Scott

Bear in mind, I don't know anything about the Gaui torque tube assembly, so this may not be possible. If there is a "boom block" that houses the front drive gears for the torque tube and it has a gear that will mesh with the tail drive gear, you may be able to disassemble the boom block, remove the drive gear and install it in place of the tail belt gear assembly. Just a thought. Of course, this is going to mean that you will have to mesh the bevel gears manually, but it's worth a shot.

I just looked at the torque tube upgrade manual. It should be possible. It appears all you have to do is take the pulley off the tail drive gear assembly and install the front bevel gear and adjust mesh of the tube bevel gear by simply sliding the boom in and out. I see no difference in the boom part number over the stock boom, so it should work. Let us know. Scott Link to manual: www.gaui.com.tw/pdf/204645_CH_EN.pdf

i can scott, but the gears dont look like they will mesh. and the only way i can get the tube inferther is to use a dremel to cut the in side of the frame were the triangle is. if you look at this pic you see that the tork tube is lower then the drive gear. and i looked at that pic that you linked and that looks like the fiber frame that i need to do the tork tube. i sent flying-hobby an email on this.
