I really want this canopy for my 425. Where can I find it? I cant find it on Gaui's site in canopy or sticker form.  |

its the stock canopy, with the stock decals. it comes with the kit.

What happened to the one that came with your 425 kit? I remember seeing your box pic on your 425 thread and the cheapie 2 piece canopy and the stickers were in your pic. AlleRC carries a white fiberglass canopy for the 425, but they don't have the 425 decals, only the 550 decals. I doubt that Gaui even sells the plastic one that came with the kit separately, as it is only worth about 50 cents.  |

I've looked around and I can't find it. It does look very similar to the stock canopy, but what looks different is the shrouding at the top of the canopy. Looking closely, it does appear to be the Vacu-formed two piece canopy.
The picture's from Gaui... interesting. Gaui does pull one-off's from time to time, like the Swedish V2 kit.

Mine came with a Trex 500 canopy painted to look like a Gaui 550 canopy. I really want the 425 to look like my 255.

Sorry Ivan, my bad, I confused your thread with Fred's, where he posted the box pics. If you checked his pics you would see that the stock canopy that comes with the 425 kit is just a thin piece of molded plastic that is in 2 pieces , and you have to glue it together. It is really kinda crappy. AlleRC sells a FG canopy for the plastic framed 425 that looks real close to stock, but, nobody sells the decals. If you really want the stock plastic canopy I will send you mine, although I already glued it together just to see what it looked like. If you want to order the FG canopy, since it is much better, and want the stock decals, let me know and I will send you the ones that came with mine since I am not going to use them. www.allerc.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_118_119&products_id=4429Jerry |
