Has everyone gone into hibernation as there have been no new posts recently and I cannot believe no one is flying their Gaui's

I'm right here... I was at the Mid America Fun Fly over the weekend, but I do log in everyday when I'm not away! Scott

I'm usually on here everyday. Just haven't had much to post about lately. Been busy with lots of "honey do" projects and haven't been out to fly for about a year now. I had high hopes of improving my flying skills this year, and meeting up with Scott at a couple of fun flys, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to do any of that this year. Jerry

Glad hear you are both still around and hope you get your "domestic jobs" sorted out quickly Jerry to allow more "play time". I manage to fly most weekends but mostly with the Mini Titan, MCP-x and the Trex 250 but I did put a couple packs through the Gaui 550 last weekend as it was far too windy for the smaller heli's. I changed the main blades from the Gaui 520 C/F ones to Ripmax 550 C/F to try to get it more wind tolerant but somehow it does not seem as responsive now, so I might change them back but what do you guys find are the best on standard Gaui 550 C/F's for normal sports flying?

Barry,
I would say Edge 553's. They'll take you as far as you want to go. I know they're more expensive, but they're damn good. Rail 556's are great, too!

Thanks for that Scott, I have heard many fliers say good things about the Edge blades but I have never tried them. Next weekend I am going to one of the UK's largest fixed wing and helicopter shows, with lots of trade stands, so money will be spent!!

My flying skills are pretty basic, but I would recommend the Edge 553's also. I tried the cheaper Pro 3D GF and CF blades and they fly fine, but I noticed quite an improvement when I tried a set of the lightly used Edge 553's that I got from Scott.
The 550 just seems to fly better all around with the Edge blades on it.

Hi Jerry and Scott, my 550 is still a fly-barred one but with the long tail boom and it sounds as though the Edge 553's are the way forward.
Thanks for all you help guys.
