I ordered the KDE motor for the x4 and just could not get it to fit so I took my 500mx out the align to get the x4 up until I figure what motors I want. Even the Align is tight with 5010 servos on cyclic. The 500MX is 1600kv with 6 magnet poles. When I set up the ice 100 governor on a 6 cell 2650 pack, I am getting head speed of 8500 at like 92% of my system. That seems very high. I played around with the specs from the scorpion motor I think would have came with the kit and it was at 7200 rpm. Before I put this up I am hoping someone will share their head speed.

Well, I don't have an X4 but the multi-gear drive seems to be the same as the Hurricane 425/550 which I have 4 of. I believe the X4 comes with a 61T front gear and a 61T main gear, and maybe a 19T OW gear, and 18T pinion. Please correct my if I am wrong.
With an 18T pinion, 61T front, 19T OW, 61T main and 1600kv motor the head speed should be around 3300 at full charge (25.2 volts) and around 2900 at nominal (22.2 volts).
If you look in the head speed calculator thread here, in the Hurricane 425/550 section, in the last post you will find a very helpful xls file to calculate head speeds for the multi gear drive.
Again, not familiar with the X4, but hope this helps....
