New part numbers for old parts

For those of you looking for parts for your Gaui 425 or 550 and think they are always out of stock, they probably are not. I have found that with the introduction of the X5 and the X4, which together use many of the old Hurricane 425/550 parts, Gaui has just changed the part number on the old Hurricane parts and lists them for their new X series helicopters.

For instance;
The Gaui X4 one way gear shaft (L43) part # G-213506 shows to be in stock at Empire RC......

But, the Gaui 425/550 one way gear shaft (L43) part #G-204582 is out-of-stock at Empire RC.

These look like the same part, and the same price, just different part #.

As I looked over the many X4, X5, and Hurricane 425/550 parts, I have found many of them (LOOK) to be the exact same part, just with a different part #. Funny thing is that the 425/550 parts are all out of stock, while the X4 and X5 parts are in stock.

So.........post all of the X4, X5, and 425/550 parts that you have found to be the same, just having different part numbers and we can try to compile a thorough list of them here. I will update this post to make a list as you guys add to this thread.

Please remember that this thread is intended to list the EXACT parts, just with a different part number, and not a list of what parts "Will Work" ...... For instance, we all know X5 tail hub/grips will work on the 425/550, but they are not the exact part. We can always start another thread to list "what fits" even though it is a completely different part.

I noticed that too when I was looking to see if the Easy Mesh Motor mount worked with the X4 (It won't without a lot of mods). Great observations, bro!

Here is another example that I found today while searching for some new main shaft bearings for one of my 425's.......

The Hurricane 8x16x5 main shaft bearings, part # G-204566 are out of stock at every U.S. Gaui dealer, even the main U.S. distributor, ( Empire RC ).................

But, the identical 8x16x5 Gaui X4 main shaft bearings, part # G-803730 are in stock, and are the same price.........

So, for those of you that might think Hurricane parts are getting hard to find, keep in mind that many of the X4 and X5 parts are the same, just with different part numbers.
Not exactly sure why Gaui decided to do this but it makes it a little confusing for Hurri owners to find the parts they need now. If and when I come across any more I will post them here, and then probably just update the first post to keep it better organized. Let us know what you guys find regarding this and I will add it to the top post. Thanks,

You can always use other manufacturer's bearings, as well. Most are better than Gaui bearings, anyway--and cheaper.

Yea Scott, I totally agree with you on the bearings.
My point was basically that some old Hurricane parts are no longer available by the old part numbers, but are still available with newer X-Series part numbers.
