Hey everyone! My names is Ryan, 25 yrs old, I fly a Gaui x5 and a mcpx. I only started flying in march, but everyone ive flown for says im doing good for only starting in march.
I got divorced at the end of last year, she got most of the friends and all of a sudden i had alot of time to myself and no one to hangout with.
One night being bored after work I stopped by the LHS to see what they had.
When i was little a teacher let me fly his airplane and then i always would pick up a model airplane mag when i was at the store or library, I wanted to get into rc so bad but back then it was alot of money and I was young,
when i turned 18 i was all about cars and motorcycles so all my extra cash went into that.
So fast forward to this year I got into that LHS and i fell in love with the helicopters... The LHS owner told me if i bought the blade 450 3d RTF i would have everything i need to fly and for 500 bucks that sounded great remembering back when a controller was 600 in the magazines i used to read.
So i walked out with one, the next day at work I pulled it out at lunch and tried to fly it.... i couldnt get off the ground comfortably. I kept at it and the next day i crashed it... Ever since then I decided this little thing wasnt going to beat me. So after that ive been pushing and pushing to get better and better.
I fly mild 3d, flips, rolls, tictocs, really sloppy piroflips lol, all 8 orientations, hurricanes, smack it around a little bit, i need to work on alot, but i love learning more and more.
