A testing tail....

Finished building my 255 some weeks ago,fitted with a Spartan Quark and Henge 922MD.
My problem is that although in HH it is absolutely faultless,i just cant get rate to behave at all-very quick oscillations no matter what the gain value.
i did have a similar symptom on a 200v1 some time ago which i never managed to cure and ended up removing the electrics and moving it on.
My flying is at the stage where im just moving on from the hover so im keen to use rate mode to keep pointing where im going during circuits and was wondering if any other Gaui owners have experienced this?

Well, I don't have a 255 but I do have a 200. The tail on my 200 does not hold at all in rate mode so, I just fly it in HH all the time. It is not really great in HH either, but I attribute that to the T2100 gyro not being all that good.
I have a Quark that I might put on it someday just to see how it does, since it is a much better gyro.
