I'm so psyched! I don't know what to do now. Today, I tested myself with my Velocity 50. I wanted to see how it was compared to my FBL helicopters. Well, the verdict is in... It was FUN!!! So much so that I flew four tanks back to back and really aired it out. It's not as fast as my Furion 6, but man is it easy to fly. Now, I don't know if I should convert my V50 to Flybarless. I mean, it flies soooo good as it is. It's a little more touchy, but after a couple of turns I felt just as locked in. So, what to do?

Hi there leave it as it is If it aint broke then don't fix it i always say, If the extra performance and speed/efficiency of FBL doesn't match the pilot then conflicts will happen plus FBL makes for extra $$ and complication IMHO Regards

Well, it ain't broke, that's for sure. No flying today... just too burned out from work. But, I'm probably going to buck the trend and convert it, anyway. I've proven to myself what I wanted to prove. Scott

I say, do what you feel is best for you. If you feel converting it to FBL will make it a better flying helicopter, than go for it. If you feel that it flys great as is with a flybar, then leave it alone. Most importantly, enjoy yourself. ;D

I converted the V50 to FBL tonight. I just finished about two hours ago. Clearly, I didn't have a chance to test fly it, but that will come tomorrow, weather permitting. I do have to say that I absolutely detest FBL heads with separate swash drivers. It's maddening getting phasing correct, but I think I've got it. Basically, all I did to get phasing correct was to line up one ball on the rotation portion of the swash with the elevator connection on the non-rotating part of the swash while at mid-stick. I held it there then rotated the head until the blade grips were perfectly in-line with the boom. After that, I adjusted the swash driver height utill the drivers arm were at 90 degrees to the main shaft. Sounds easy and probably is to a lot of people besides me. Oh, well.. that's it for conversions. Total.. One mini-Vbar, four microbeasts and one Blade mCP X. My fleet is all FBL now with the exception of my BH500 which will always be FB and is currently retired. Scott
