Has anybody noticed that the price of the 425 basic kits has been increased from $79 to $189 ? I noticed the price a long time ago on Gaui's site, but everybody was still selling them for $79. I guess Gaui just quit shipping them until everyone ran out of stock, then raised the price. Nobody in the U.S. has a kit in stock, including Empire, the Gaui distributor here. I guess their waaayyyy overpriced X4 wasn't selling, so they decided to make up for lost sales by more than doubling the price of their biggest selling helicopter kit. The 425 was a great kit for budget fliers like myself, but, probably not so much at the new price. So..........Here's my thoughts. They should have increased the price in smaller increments, say, to $129 to see if they still sell well, then go from there. The Hurricane 425 is a decent mid-grade helicopter, but, what really made it popular was the price. Would I buy one for $189? Maybe, maybe not, can't really say. Would I buy one for $79? Sure, I bought 2 of them, and we here at GHT also purchased one for our giveaway a while back. I wonder if Gaui is going to discontinue it like they did the 550. Your thoughts? ? Jerry

I kind of think they're gonna axe it. They have the X4, even though it hasn't sold well at all in the US. I just hope they keep producing parts.
