Let us know how many Hurricanes you own, no matter what the size, and tell us if you have a favorite one or not.
I have a plastic framed, long tail boom 550 with stock Gaui 850kv motor running 550mm blades. It has ds 821's on the cyclic, a JR G770 3D gyro and JR 890 tail servo. Currently using 2x3s 3300mah lipos in series and 2s 2500mah rx lipo with stock voltage regulator, and AR7000 rx.
I also have a IRCHA 425 kit that Scott picked up for me that I have not finished yet. I am going to build it as a 425, but still need to get a few of the electronics to finish it. Hope to have it ready in the spring.
After seeing Ivan's 255 videos, I think that will be my next build. ;D

Just one, so far. But... I have nearly all the parts on hand to build another one being I stretched my IRCHA kit (which morphed into the Head Hunter/Gaui 550).

3 flying, 4 in total. 3 200's, 2 airworthy and enough parts for a 3rd if I feel the need. Then there is the 255. It will be in the air before the year is out.

hmmm bar and grill, sounds familer, but do we drink and fly, or fly and drink ;D Fly first, then have a couple of cold ones while you are rebuilding the crashed heli.

Ivan, so the build is done? If so, did it get the living room maiden? Scott

Still working on the build. I have the main blades mounted up now (thank you very much) but need to pull the motor and ESC out of my 500 ESP for the 425. The Scorpion motor that came with my 425 is going into the 500 where I think it will fare better surrounded by CF rather than a plastic frame.
I bet if I worked on it, I could get it flying today.

Just one so far. H550 plastic frame with long boom and 550mm Pro 3D CF blades. Savox SC-0254mg's on cyclic, Quark gyro with Align DS650 on the tail. Cnchelicopter full CNC pro tail assembly V2. Z-Power Z20A KV980 motor with 3000 & 3300 6S batteries.
The new 255 looks pretty interesting and I'm looking forward to videos of Ivan's new 425!

Ivan, that's dizzying! It's very cool, though. I do hope you get it flying soon. I'm kind of betting that you'll stretch it, end up with Head Hunter frames... etc. Seriously, I know where you're coming from. I going to end up doing the parts swap thing soon. Scott

My 425 is still sitting on the bench partly assembled, waiting on cyclic servos. Had an unexpected house hold expense recently that put it on hold. Heard a loud boom and the whole house shook. The water heater exploded. Don't know what happened, or why, it just went "boom" and caused a lot of damage in the basement. Insurance covered the water heater, but not the damage caused by the explosion.

Was it a Mythbusters style of explosion or more like a pipe or release valve blowing? Sorry to hear about the damage.

Not real sure what happened, but it seems that the thermostat must have failed and the gas burner stayed on all the time. Pressure relief valve must have been bad too, as the tank itself is what blew apart. Most of the damage was caused by the water pouring out of the pipes that were blown off and the intense steam from the boiling water. The bright side was that at least my helicopters were sitting on a bench in a different room in the basement so they didn't get damaged.

Jerry, I'm happy nobody was hurt. What a horrible shock that must have been.
