I saw that up on Flying Hobby. It is amazing that Gaui has one of the cheapest quality helis on the market (Hurri 425 plastic version) and one of the most expensive... I will still wait till I can get a bargain on one.

I agree with Ivan... even with the IRCHA deal, it's still a very expensive helicopter for its size. The lite version out of G10 and plastic parts is still expensive, given that the costs of cutting G10 can't be much more than chinese CF.

Well, I agree with you guys that the price is still a little too high, but I don't think Gaui is going to stay in the "low-cost" arena any more. I think the cheap 425 kits are going to dry up real soon. If you look at Empire's site, the U.S. distributor, the basic 425 kits are on 'back order' I think it was just to get Gaui's name more popular in the RC heli world, although I hope I am wrong. The basic 425 kits have brought a lot of people up into the ranks of flying larger helicopters than the popular "450" sized ones. I paid $319 for my 'basic' plastic framed 550 a few years back, before the 425 kits came out, so I guess I got ripped off, lol. It is just my opinion but, I think Gaui is going to keep the price of all their newer offerings higher than they should be so people won't think that they are poor quality helicopters, I dunno. Personally, after seeing first hand the quality of Scott's HeadHunter frames, a basic 425 kit and HH frame will give you a better quality helicopter than the X5 lite, but I just thought I would get one some day to be able to advise others as to what it is like. I really need to find another IRCHA kit. I kept upgrading mine till I turned it into the 500 and now have all these parts left over... I have everything to build another 425 except for the airframe.

I hear you there Ivan. I had so many parts that I started to build one from scratch just for something to do, but then I got the HeadHunter frame upgrade from Scott, so I tore it apart and rebuilt it on the HH frame. It is almost done, but been real busy lately and haven't ordered any batteries for it yet.
