This is something that Scott and I kicked around a while back, but never made a decision on what to do.
The 425 and the 550 use many of the same parts, so keeping them in the same board seemed like a good idea. But, due to the size difference, they do use different power systems and head speeds, and also different size batteries, so making a different board for each one also seemed like a good idea.
Keep in mind that you can 'retract' your vote anytime and vote for a different option.
I figured it would be a good time to get your opinions on this since it will likely take us quite a while to move all of the threads and posts around to get them in the appropriate place.
Thanks for voting,
Jerry

I like the idea of separate areas for the different sizes. I would love a 425 / 500 / 550 area.

I like the idea of separate areas for the different sizes. I would love a 425 / 500 / 550 area. Then YOU can help move all of the threads around to the proper boards, LMAO. ;D ;D ;D

I voted for separate boards. It makes it easier to search for specific info. For example I wanted to search for 'head speed' in relation to the 425 but as things are now I get hits for the 550. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it but separate boards make more sense to me

There is enough part wise to keep it together. Since the 550 is all but discontinued. Pilots on the 550 path will be buying a 425's looking for the same advice. Once you figure out the basics (almost) with HS, gearing, kv etc. Were talking about the same bird, ones a teen, ones all growed up.
I know after market frames vary, aren't the guts pretty much the same? Disregarding bling.
