Time has come to start investigating new batteries for next season. Volt 3300mah 35C 499g $82.99 Hype 3300mah 35C 545g $136.95 Hype 3300mah 45C 528g $153.99Looks like the Volt is the clear winner. I didn't check HobbyKing but will soon. Weight is the most important factor for me because I have a heavy motor up front in my HeadHunter. The lighter the battery the easier it is to achieve a proper CG. That said, I get a perfect CG with the Hyperion 3300 35C battery, but I had to move the tail servo to the boom. I would like to move the tail servo back to the frame just because it's more protected and frankly, looks cool there. So, we'll see in the coming months. I'll probably buy new batteries in February or early March. There's lots of time to compare, but I thought it best to post now in the event some of us live in warmer climates! Scott

I have been using 2 x 3s 3300mah GForce batteries from Value Hobby in my 550. Been using them for 2 years now and they still work great. Only down side is the weight, as they seem to be heavier than others of the same size, although the 3s 3300's are actually about 20 grams lighter than what is listed on their site. Their 6s 3300 30c is listed at 570 grams which makes it kind of heavy if that is what it actually weighs. But, only $65.99 + $3.99 shipping. www.valuehobby.com/product_details.php?category_id=36&item_id=235
