That is a nice RC aircraft collection you have there.
Judging from the pic, you collect weed trimmers too, huh. ;D

Gotta love Corsairs! When I was a kid, I had a Cox .049 Corsair, control line plane. I loved it! Scott

Love the looks of it. I know it's not a trainer, but for someone with some heli experience, would it be too much for a first plane?? Bill [EDIT] Some of us went backwards and started with helis (probably not too bright!) ;D ;D

hey bill, yes its the parkzone corsair, its a nice plane, but i would start with the super cub that i have, its a bind-n-fly 3 chan. i use my dx6i to fly it, is a great starter plane, easy to fly. you can get it at www.hobbyzone.com the corsair is a 4 chan. i got both from hobbyzone, its a half hr from my house, NICE ;D

If I'm looking at the right one that would have a 48" wingspan. Could that still be flown in a softball field sized area or would you need more of a larger flying club field sized space?? Bill

hey bill yea its the 48" wing. i think you could fly it at a ball field. i,am told that it will fly just about like my supercub. but will see today as i think i,am going out here soon. i have my own fly field two hundred feet from my house, 80 acre field with a blacktop runway, so i dont have far to go, but realy, the black top runway is a very seldom traveled road. so its like having my own fly field, kinda nice. i will take some pics, or get some vid of it.
if you are thinking of getting the corsair its a real nice plane. all the parkzone planes have high reviews.

I was thinking of the Supercub when I mentioned the 48" wing. I'll be interested to hear how you would compare the Corsair with the Supercub once you fly it in terms of beginners use. Thanks.

Fred, once you fly the Corsair let me know if you think it's that much harder than flying the SC. Although I'd be a plane novice, I don't really think I'd be starting like most beginners after messing with helis for a couple of years. I've got a DX6i and I wouldn't have the overcorrection issue that most new fliers would. Also, Phoenix RC sim has that exact Parkzone Corsair model and I've been messing with that a bit with reasonably good results. So I'd love to hear a flight report from you on the Corsair whenever you get to fly it. Also curious if you would recommend leaving the landing gear off and just belly landing in the grass. Thanks. Bill

i had them both out today, the corsair is easy to fly. it fly's just like it dose on the phoenix sim, so, may i say go for the corsair. you cant fly it as slow as the sc. but it is funner. the sc is great for what I'm using it for, flying video, its nice and slow flying. i'm useing the flycamone/v2
the corsair landing gear should be raked forward more, like what i did, it helps when landing on grass. so it dont nose forward and bite a prop.

Looks like Jerry already took care of the plank section. I think it's a good thing. No reason those who fly planes can't have fun here, too!
