It seems his concern was heating to above 350F for bearing removal. I am not really sure how much heat is needed to soften sleeve retaining compounds. I'll have to see if I can find some info on that just to see what I can find. EDIT: I looked at retaining compounds on Loctite's site and most should be ok, except what I used. I use 620 just because that is what we use on heavy duty trucks at the shop so I have lots of it. Here is a little info from their website. It seems that most can be softened by heating to less than 350F. "Temperature resistance" of different Loctite brand retaining compounds. ( Not thread locking compounds ) 232 = 300F 603 = 300F 609 = 300F 641 = 300F 648 = 350F 620 = 450F

Do you know what standard wicking green loctite comes in at?

Scott, To my knowledge the green wicking stuff is generally a thread locker, but will probably work fine for bearings too. It is made to apply after assembly. It takes a lot of heat to soften it though. Near the bottom left of this spec sheet is states 250 C which would be over 450F I believe. www.loctite.sg/sea/content_data/93808_290EN.pdf

Yet another update.
All the parts I've ordered except the stainless steel plates for the motor mount have been cut. There are 4 stainless plates cut with 12 more to go. The stainless steel plate is not easy to machine, but he's doing it. So, here is what I've ordered.
I've ordered enough parts for 16 HeadHunter frames. If there is that much of a demand, I'll be happily surprised.
Remember, all parts are made in the USA, using USA made alloy.

PM inbound, Scott! Uh...14 left? I got your PM. I don't have any production parts in yet. But, I will be getting them VERY, VERY soon! I know I've written that before but my new friend and machinist is working very hard on the remaining 12 stainless steel plates. Stainless steel is not easy to machine and he is breaking his bits doing this. So, it's make what he can, then new bit... make what he can.. over and over. I will post here and in PM when the parts are here and ready for sale! On a personal note, it's gratifying that there is still interest. This delay has been agonizing! Scott

Absolutely, I'll PM you. There are going to be two kits. One with frames and HeadHunter parts only and another with all of the above plus the Gaui parts necessary to complete the frame. You'll still have to get a head, boom, tail assembly, etc.

Here we go, folks... The parts are being shipped this week. Rob, my machinist and an aerodynamics engineer has told me he has a couple of things to clean up and then they're at the UPS store for shipment. I will inspect the parts. I don't anticipate any problems so it looks like the long wait is coming to an end. Scott

Rob says I should have the parts by Friday. I'm going to build one out and inspect the rest of the parts so sometime next week, barring catastrophe, parts and kits will be on-sale. Scott

Scott, When you get everything sorted, and have kits ready to ship, please PM me the price and your PayPal address. I would like the complete kit to upgrade from a plastic frame.
Thanks,
Jerry

I've been able to physically inspect the parts, but not fit them yet. Probably tomorrow I'll fit them in a frame. The quality of the parts is much higher than the original HeadHunter parts.

Some may have noticed the absence of the legacy frames in the price list, above. They've been sold and shipped to their new owners. The only framesets from now on will be US made Carbon Fiber frames.
