Just building a Gaui 425 and had this part left over from the bag containing all the gears. Looks like some kind of spacer but there's no reference to it in the manual

Hi,
That is the spacer that goes between the main shaft and the rear main drive gear.

You're right Scott. Without this spacer there's around 2mm play in the main shaft so this must be where it goes. No mention of this in the Gaui manual at all Someone tell me I wasn't the only one caught out by this! Well I did find someone else on Helifreak ;D A pic with the spacer.

If you look closely at the picture of the shaft and rear main gear installation, there may be a very poor rendition of the spacer with no arrow or part number. That said, I found that reference in the 550 manual.

Mmm, maybe if you squint hard enough Must say that so far everything slots together really nicely. Had a nice letter today from the tax people and they owe me money! Not very often that happens! So I may be able to get this heli up and running sooner than I thought ;D If you look closely at the picture of the shaft and rear main gear installation, there may be a very poor rendition of the spacer with no arrow or part number. That said, I found that reference in the 550 manual. Scott
