Motor is the Z20 (980 kv) Plenty of poop for me at this time. Gaui chart indicates 1973 rpm. I don't know if blade size makes any difference (it seems to me that it should) but the chart makes no mention of it. I am using FG 550 mains. Much heavier than the woodies I started out with. Haven't gotten into the CF yet but I am guessing that they are lighter than fibre glass. Is lighter better? By the way, my battery packs are 2650 ma and I am getting 5 minutes of hovering & easy forward, using 80% of the packs. At flights end my motor temp is 80-85 deg. Very little difference noted whether canopy is on or off. How does this run time sound to you?
Sorry to have run several issues into one post, but this is how things pop into mind as I reach out for advice.

I don't know if CF blades are lighter that fiber glass. I've only used one set of fiber glass blades on my BH500 and they worked great until I crashed them! LOL! Lighter can be better, though. The thing I noticed with carbon fiber blades is that they generally track easier and are stiffer. I only use CF blades, now.
The run time you're getting from 2650 packs is excellent. The motor temp is super!

The Z-power motors are nice aren't they? Last weekend I checked temps. of everything after landing and My Gaui 850kv motor was 217F. The Z20-1470 in my 425 was only 115 and it was 95F outside. The 5 min. flights sounds about right with 2650mah batteries. I can get 8 min. flights running 3300mah batteries, but I can't fly that long, so I keep my timer on 6 min. I put back about 2000mah. My 425 runs a lot higher head speed, but is also lighter and I get 4:30 min. using 6s 2500mah batteries. Not sure how much difference blade weight makes, so I will let someone else comment on that.
